Kaspersky labs reveal 34% of businesses do not have dedicated Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
The survey of over 5,000 senior IT managers revealed that most companies do not pay enough attention to securing corporate mobile devices and data stored on them.
15% of respondents reported they had no plans of implementing a MDM solution in the future.
Mobile threats have significantly increased over the past two years and as BYOD becomes popular in the workplace, enterprises are increasingly open to attacks.
Kaspersky warns that companies which do not regulate the use of personal smarphones and tablet PC's on company networks will most certainly leak information.
Data loss can also occur with a malware infection or an employee losing a device.
While 28% of the companies surveyed said they had dedicated MDM solution, 29% said they only had partially implemented MDM.
Kaspersky says that only full implementation can ensure the security of mobile devices and data stored on them.
